FIRST STEP IS OFTEN THE MOST DIFFICULT
I am here alongside with other members of the Veterinary Entrepreneurs Tribe to make your first steps easier.
During this online 5-week program, you’ll be learning:
- Entrepreneurship types and the core business principles you must know.
- Toolbox and skills required at the start of any venture, including the design thinking principles, techniques on conducting user & customer interviews, ideation methodologies, how to pick the right idea for you, skills required to build & test your prototype, value proposition, business model canvas, pitching and more.
- About yourself in the capacity of the entrepreneur: your why, how to stimulate growth mindset and resilience.
Before the program begins
Steps to take before the start of the Veterinary Entrepreneur Challenge
WEEK 1. Everything begins with you
Every entrepreneurial journey begins with the founder themselves. It is critical to begin by understanding who you are, your why, your strengths and vulnerabilities.
WEEK 2. Identifying your sandbox and learning about your customer
Finding the right theme, the right market, the market segment is not an easy task. Structured, notorious approach is key – no missed steps here. When you know the customer you want to serve – try to fall in love with them and the problem they face. Never fall in love with the idea. Good luck with a busy week 2.
WEEK 3. Time to develop your big idea
Ever wonder where good ideas come from? They come from understanding and empathising with your customer, using a variety of ideation techniques to come up with lots of ideas without judging them too early. They also come from everywhere around you if you observe carefully and if you are willing to ask others for help.
WEEK 4. Creating & prototyping value
The only thing that helps sustain your business is constant generation of value for your customers and prototyping everything to iterate and move your ideas forward.
WEEK 5. Designing business model & your pitch
Now it is time to bring it all together and create your business canvas. All the pieces you worked so hard over many weeks will help you complete the puzzle.
